Note that some Meijer's have the frontier! I used one for a time when I was working there. I've been using the Fuji Frontier at Wal-Mart because the tonality is a little better on the Frontier, in my opinion (you may disagree). It's been a long time since I've used it. Sometimes I would adjust the image on the screen to look good before printing.you may not need to do that if your monitor's calibrated well. Sometimes when I printed from CD, the image on the Ditto's screen was lighter or darker than what I saw at home ( my monitor back then was not calibrated), but the Ditto screen was accurate. My major complaint is the prints are somewhat thin compared to RA-4 paper, and they scratch easily, although I'm not sure they are really worse in that regard than glossy RA-4 prints. My experience with digital printing on the Ditto (I worked at Mejer when I was in college as a photo lab tech) is that the quality is very even does neutral, excellent black and white.

The Photo Ditto is similar to a Kodak Picture Maker (found at Walgreens, Knmart, Kroger, etc.), but it gives better quality, in my opinion. 100’s of unique products available in-store, most are ready in an hour or less. The prints are made on a Sony Dye Sub printer. Meijer Photo offers everything: prints, photo books, greeting cards, canvas with most ready in an hour or less. The computer's got built in drives for CD, floppy, Zip Disk, and media cards.

It's actually a windows PC with an Epson flatbed scanner to copy prints, and a Nikon film scanner for slides and negs. It's made by a company called Pixel Magic Imaging.

Meijer uses a machine called the "Photo Ditto". It's self-service I just wont pay for them. Trying it when I do my grocery shopping, and if they suck since

The midwest chain is now advertising digital prints, anyone give itĪ try yet? It's self service as shown on this page.
